ABOUT ME
I'm Caithlin, a qualified Paediatric Speech Pathologist with over 14 years of experience. I have worked with children since completing my Bachelor of Speech Pathology in LaTrobe University, Bundoora. My background involves working in teams in early intervention services and within a range of mainstream primary schools. As a result I believe strongly in collaboration with both parents and other professionals.
I am a proud ADHDer and I bring both professional and lived experience to my work. I am passionate about promoting an understanding of neurodiversity within families, and in the community settings I work in. My main interests are working with neurodivergent children and children with complex needs. I am passionate about supporting children to become proud of who they are naturally and helping them to express themselves authentically.
I love to work with families by getting to know their unique interests and skills to support their communication goals in a practical, fun and functional way. I strongly believe that working together with families is the key to making lasting change.
ABOUT SPEECH CONNECT
I created Speech Connect as a means of providing the therapy I believe in. I work in collaboration with parents and others supporting your child (e.g. teachers, other professionals) to help your child reach their potential and connect better with the world around them. I believe in empowering children to communicate their needs and individuality with confidence.
Sessions can take place in clinic, at home, kinder/ school or online.
